As our founder Merima writes in her letter to you, we are painfully aware of the fashion industry’s huge environmental impact, and the fact that it will not change for the better overnight. But we want to do what we can to contribute to a greener industry, increasing our efforts as our business grows.

We want to be part of the change towards more sustainable fashion. 

 

That is why, after traveling the world looking for sustainable fabrics, Merima decided to use high-end Italian fabrics made of ECONYL^® regenerated nylon yarn. As opposed to virgin nylon yarn, which is made out of crude oil, ECONYL^® is made using recycled pre-consumer and post-consumer plastic waste such as fabric scraps and fishnets from our oceans, while maintaining all the qualities of virgin nylon yarn, which significantly reduces the environmental footprint of Syvênde Swimwear.
